Thursday-our last day in Taiwan
Well, we finally reached our last day in Taiwan. We have had an absolutely wonderful time. On our last day our driver suggested we visit the Chinese acrobatic school to see their performance. What a treat! First we visited the martyrs shrine and saw the changing of the guard. It was quite a production and those poor soldiers have to stand their for an hour at a time and sweat was just pouring out from underneath their metal helmets and their uniforms. It was very interesting though. After this we headed to the training school and were able to see some really cool aspects of acrobatics. We were able to watch the people putting on their makeup for the Chinese opera and as you see Brent was able to be king for a day. During the actual show we weren't able to take pictures but it was amazing the things that the students could do. After the acrobatic portion there was a traditional Chinese opera the students performed. Very interesting and great fun. After this we headed back to the hotel to pack and hang out at the pool for the last time. Now the long flight home to start our life as a family of four! What a wonderful time we have had.
